The 2024 SPAR School Sports Day Grants campaign gave SPAR shoppers in England, Scotland and Wales the chance to apply for a £200 grant for their local primary or secondary school to enable them to buy much needed sports equipment. The campaign ran in February and March, allowing shoppers to scan a QR code in a SPAR store or visit the SPAR website to apply for their local school.
The campaign was amplified digitally on the SPAR UK website with a designated landing page featuring tips on how to keep active and get involved with sports outside of school. SPAR UK supported the campaign with paid social media ads as well as inspirational video content featuring GB athlete Marli Jessop.
Suzanne Dover, SPAR UK Brand and Marketing Director, said: “With over 2,000 entries last year, we hope to have even more schools apply this year and bring more SPAR stores and schools together in the community. This campaign has been a great means to encourage shoppers to visit their local SPAR store when applying for a grant.”
