The SPAR brand was first launched in Greece in 1969. In 2025, a license was granted by SPAR International to an existing retail operation which is part of the Veroukas Group and had been operating under sub-license in the past few years. Corporate-owned stores will be developed whilst supporting independent retailer-run stores, continuing the meet the needs of local communities.
