SPAR International granted the SPAR licence in Albania in mid-2016 the Balfin Group. SPAR Albania operates two retail formats: INTERSPAR Hypermarkets and SPAR Supermarkets. In 2025, SPAR Albania was sold by the Balfin Group to Viva Fresh based in Kosovo - the new shareholders will maintain the company’s strategy and personnel. The sale will be finalised during 2025.
