SPAR Hellas, the SPAR Partner in Greece, has announced an exciting new partnership with Bazaar S.A., a member of the Veroukas Group, that operates more than 150 supermarkets and 11 Cash & Carry stores throughout the country.

Thanks to the strength of both brands, the collaboration will create economies of scale, particularly in the area of convenience retailing.

Bazaar, founded in 1994, will provide logistics support to SPAR Hellas and will also develop new SPAR-branded stores. SPAR Hellas expects to upscale the business in Greece through this new partnership, with a  particular emphasis on ensuring excellence for valued customers, both through high-quality services and competitive pricing.

The partnership will see Bazaar open four SPAR Supermarkets in 2020, adding to the current network of 31 SPAR stores that have been launched since SPAR Hellas became the partner in March 2018.

Fivos Karakitsos, Managing Director of SPAR Greece has expressed delight in the new partnership, saying: “SPAR Hellas with the support of Bazaar and the Veroukas Group now offers the most dynamic and comprehensive commercial proposal for middle-market retail stores. We have the power of the global SPAR Brand, strong marketing strategies, a nationwide distribution network, a full range of own brand products, as well as competitive benefits and prices. By joining forces, we are sure to create an even stronger SPAR presence in Greece.”
