SPAR Switzerland invites kids to train with German football club

The German football club, Borussia Mönchengladbach, will visit Switzerland for two friendly games in May. The top German Bundesliga team, previously under the leadership of Swiss coach, Lucien Favre, offers excellent development opportunities for young players through its youth academy. During the team’s visit, Swiss boys and girls between the ages of eight and 13, will have the opportunity to participate in one of the academy’s three training camps in Lucerne and St. Gallen. Those interested can apply online and 30 children will then be selected through a draw organised by SPAR Switzerland.

Experience in a football club is not required, but enthusiasm for the sport is essential. The camps are lead by experienced youth coaches of the Borussia Mönchengladbach club and participation in all three of the football camps is free. All interested children can register and the winners will be chosen through a draw organised by SPAR Switzerland.

The workouts are diverse and varied, ranging from basic techniques to coordination skills.  All participants will receive a football academy shirt, a water bottle and a gym bag. Meal and beverages will also be provided.
