SPAR Scotland welcomed the Scottish Gas Women’s Scottish Cup to its Kincorth store, celebrating the extension of the four-year partnership with the Scottish Football Association (Scottish FA).

Showcasing the Prestigious Cup

The Scottish Gas Women’s Scottish Cup was on display at the SPAR Supermarket in Kincorth from 12 pm to 3 pm. This provided customers a unique opportunity to get up close to the prestigious trophy. The occasion marked SPAR Scotland’s extended sponsorship.

Customers at the SPAR store enjoyed engaging activities that afternoon, including a spinning wheel for prizes. The highlight of the day was the arrival of the Scottish Cup, piped into the store by area manager Garry Brailsford, creating a memorable moment for all.

Colleagues from the Scottish Grocers Foundation’s Healthy Living Programme joined the event, welcoming children from Abbotswell Primary School. The young attendees not only had the chance to take photos with the Scottish Cup but also participated in a healthy living event within the store.

Community Support

Demonstrating a commitment to local communities, SPAR Scotland presented cheque donations to Abbotswell Primary and Kincorth Community Hub, emphasising SPAR’s dedication to nurturing neighbourhoods.

Investment in Women’s Football

SPAR Scotland’s ongoing partnership with the Scottish FA aims to raise the profile of the Scotland Women’s National Team and invest in girls’ and women’s grassroots football across the country. The extended sponsorship until August 2027 includes new rights, incorporating the Women’s Scottish Cup domestic games over the next four years.

The collaboration between SPAR Scotland and the Scottish FA seeks to encourage young people to adopt an active and healthy lifestyle. The partnership supports grassroots football for girls aspiring to represent the Scotland Women’s National Team.
