The SPAR Natural* concept breaks new ground in the area of Health & Wellness by providing a holistic approach to customers seeking better healthcare, healthier lifestyles, natural products and solutions for food intolerance.
The range provides vegan, vegetarian, organic, gluten-free, wheat-free, lactose-free and sugar-free foods, and supports SPAR’s commitment to providing fresh, healthy, nutritious and sustainable products. Category icons on the sustainably designed packaging make these features easy to recognise.
The SPAR Natural range currently consists of 20 organic products, including White Quinoa, Red Split Lentils, Wholegrain Rolled Oats, Whole Wheat Couscous, Organic Pasta and Brown Rice – helping to enrich meals with valuable nutrients.
In the healthy snack range, SPAR Natural offers organic Tortilla Chips with Sea Salt and organic Mini Corn Cakes with Rosemary or Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Sweet counterparts include organic Fruit Bars with Cranberry & Almond or Cashew & Figs.
For chocolate lovers, the SPAR Natural range includes four Swiss-made organic Fairtrade chocolate bars: Milk, Milk with Hazelnut Filling, Dark (55% cocoa) and Extra Dark (72% cocoa). Completing the range are the award-winning Fairtrade Hazelnut Spread made without added palm oil, and the organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
In the drinks category, two selected coffee blends of organically grown and Fairtrade certified Arabica and Robusta beans are available as mild or dark roasts. The coffee range was recently extended to include plastic and aluminium-free, Organic Coffee, Tea and Milk Capsules, which are 100% biodegradable and compostable. The high-quality sealing of the capsules, which are made from biological raw materials, protect against any loss of aroma and preserve the full, natural flavour.

About SPAR Switzerland
SPAR Switzerland has undergone several changes since being founded in 1989. In 2000, the family-owned business was transformed into a holding company with three operating companies: SPAR Handels AG, TopCC AG and SPAR Management AG. The business grew further, combining corporate and independently owned stores, spanning forecourt retailing to large supermarkets.
In early 2016, SPAR Switzerland announced the sale of 60% of shares to SPAR South Africa. The existing management team and shareholders remain involved in the business.
