July 14, 2016 IN THE CATEGORY: Store openings

SPAR Netherlands continues to focus its attention on the development of new neighbourhood and city stores.

On 12 July, SPAR retailer, Martijn ten Berge opened a new SPAR city store in Zutphen, in the Dutch province of Gelderland. The store, located on the city’s station square, meets the needs of commuters who can find everything they need on their way through the busy station. Freshly prepared baguettes and sandwiches are available for eating in or taking away, along with fruit salads, croissants, fresh juices and coffee. The shop also boasts an extensive selection of ready-to-eat meals – an easy dinner option for those heading home from a long day at work.

Outside of the city, SPAR Neighbourhood stores in holiday parks are continuously being refreshed and launched. At the beginning of July, a new SPAR store was opened at the Landal Beach Holiday Resort in South Holland. This convenience store caters for the needs of holiday makers familiar with the SPAR Brand, offering a good range of ready-to-go breakfast, lunch and dinner meal options, as well as non-food products. The store has a modern look and feel and also offers a convenient online service so that customers, whether they be locals or holiday makers, can do their grocery shopping online.
