A new range of vegetarian products called SPAR Veggie by NENI, has been introduced to SPAR stores in Hungary, following the overwhelming success of the SPAR Own Brand range in Austria.

The range includes a number of Middle Eastern dishes such as Baba ganoush, falafel, hummus and labane, making it easier than ever for Hungarian consumers to access these tasty, low cholestrol delicacies.

“The Veggie by NENI product line has earned significant success among the SPAR Own Brand products in Austria. As such, we decided to follow suit and play a pioneering role in the distribution of these healthy food items in Hungary,” said Márk Maczelka, Head of Communications at SPAR Hungary.

Haya Molcho, the founder of the NENI family enterprise, presented the initial range of eight Veggie by NENI speciality dishes in Budapest. The mother of four who was born in Israel, works in cooperation with SPAR to bring traditional and modern Middle Eastern products to customers.

The demand for purely plant-based food products is increasing in Hungary, with more and more people choosing to become vegetarian. The easy-to-digest range of dishes, are recommended not only for vegetarians, but for everyone looking for tasty, low fat food options.

• Hummus Curry-Mango – Chickpea spread with curry and mango, 125g
• Aufstrich Tomaten-Basalikum – Cream cheese spread with tomato and basil, 125g

• Baba ganusch – Eggplant spread with sesame seeds, 125g

The range is available in all INTERSPAR Hypermarkets and 49 selected SPAR Supermarkets in Hungary.
