Part of the proceeds from each bottle sold is donated to the Integrationshaus in Vienna and the Tralalobe Association. Through the sale of these wines, a total of € 40,000 was collected during 2022. SPAR Austria doubled the donated amount to make a total of €80,000.
Since the launch of this partnership in 2013, the integration network has received over €860,000. “The war in Ukraine is not the only reason why the number of people seeking help and the demand for accommodation and counselling services has increased. Due to inflation and the tense labour market, the refugees’ situation is becoming worse. It is therefore increasingly important not to forget those who need help after fleeing their home country. Our wines should contribute to raising awareness for this topic”, said Heike and Gernot Heinrich.
Settling down in a foreign environment after fleeing your homeland is not easy. The price increases of recent months make the situation of people with a refugee background increasingly difficult. The Integrationshaus in Vienna and the Tralalobe Association address group-specific problems and offer support through counselling, accommodation, and educational opportunities.
“With this donation, we support important integration work that gives people the security of a life with perspective in these challenging times. Furthermore, it is important to us to support the ‘Good Wines’ campaign with the Heinrich Winery, as in addition to generating financial support, we grow consumers’ awareness of the topic”, commented SPAR Austria’s Board Director Markus Kaser.
