SPAR Albania has supported the Light a Hope initiative, bringing food to dozens of Albanian families in need during the December holiday period. This initiative, realised in cooperation with non-profit organisations World Vision Albania and Food Bank Albania, invited SPAR shoppers at INTERSPAR Hypermarkets in Tirana and Durres to donate food items to families in need.

Hundreds of SPAR customers responded positively to the call to contribute to this initiative. As a result, over 3,000 food items were donated, which helped 75 families in need in Dibra, Memaliaj, and Tirana.

Natasha, a mother of five children from the village of Grezhdan in Dibër, was one of the recipients of the food packages.

“We are fixing the house. We had no opportunity to buy food, but you are always with us in the most difficult moments. Thank you very much”, she said.

Thanks to the donations, many other mothers like Natasha could happily fill the table for their children. SPAR Albania cordially thanks all SPAR shoppers who generously contributed to this cause.
