After extensive rebuilding work, the 450m² SPAR store in Herseaux was reopened on 6 May. The store is run by independent SPAR retailer Fabrice Tripier and his 12 team members. Fabrice has extensive experience in the food retailing business. Being part of SPAR is a family affair since his grandfather opened one of the first SPAR stores in France.
Freshness and quality take centre stage, as does the extensive range of local and seasonal fruit and vegetables.
“We offer seasonal local products. For instance, we sell Belgian strawberries in the summer. Furthermore, we have a fine selection of lean and tasty Belgian meat”, said Fabrice.
The bakery department also provides a vast product range. Every day, the SPAR team freshly bakes a wide selection of bread instore.
Another one of Fabrice Tripier’s objectives is to enhance shopping convenience. Therefore, SPAR redesigned the store with ease of use in mind, reflected in the overall layout. In addition, it has been equipped with sustainable technologies, including CO₂-based refrigeration units.
The new SPAR Supermarket in the town of Léglise was opened on 22 April. The emphasis is on customer service and fresh, high-quality, local products. With a retail sales area of 625m², this store features sustainable and state-of-the-art technologies, including cutting-edge insulation techniques, charging stations for electric vehicles, and electronic shelf labels.
The store is managed by SPAR retailer Dany Clarinval and 12 staff members. Danny has been working with SPAR Belgium Retail Partners Colruyt Group for 20 years.
Fresh products are undoubtedly the highlight in the new SPAR store.
“Half of the retail space is devoted to fresh. And thanks to that, we can make a difference. My team and I like to eat healthily. This is reflected in our product offering”, said Dany Clarinval.
Customer service is a priority for SPAR Léglise.
“Listening to the customer is essential. This influences our product offering, for example, in the catering department”, explained Dany Clarinval.
