Contact International: Issue 3 2019 now live

Welcome to the third issue of Contact International for 2019 – our quarterly magazine in which we share the latest SPAR Partner news from around the world.

In this issue, we report on the 64th International SPAR Congress, hosted by SPAR Slovenia in Ljubljana. We share key learnings from the Congress presentation sessions, which focused on the common theme of placing the customer first and at the heart of our business. The event reflected on the strong growth and expansion of the brand during 2018, and the ongoing investment by SPAR Partners to keep this momentum going.

Present at the Congress was SPAR Kosovo – one of the newest members of the SPAR family, which we introduce in more detail in this issue. With the entry of the brand into this market, we are edging ever closer to having a presence in 50 countries worldwide – a fantastic milestone for the brand.

Retail Development and Innovation is a key focus of SPAR International’s scope of service and in this edition, we feature the changing nature of petrol forecourt stores with examples of top-quality outlets in three SPAR markets. As part of our Buying Better Together strategy, we also introduce the new SPAR International Wine Collection, which was officially launched at this year’s Congress.

We feature two Best-in-Class stores in Hungary, highlight the benefits of international marketing collaboration through the SPAR Wholesome Home Cooking campaign, and share the inspiring story of a young INTERSPAR Hypermarket manager from Austria.

Based on these developments and the updates in the SPAR Worldwide News roundup, it’s clear that our partners around the world have had an excellent first half of the year. We look forward to sharing more exciting developments in our next issue, due out in December.
