After raising more than £640,000 for Marie Curie in its first year of partnership, SPAR UK store employees are again donning their yellow daffodils in 2018 to support this hugely worthy cause.
For the month of March, SPAR stores in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will support Marie Curie’s largest annual fundraising campaign by selling daffodil pins with a suggested donation of £1 each. The stores will also run a number of fundraising activities, including:
“This is a great opportunity to raise money for this fantastic cause and get behind our national charity partner,” said SPAR UK Marketing Controller, Laura McNally.
“Marie Curie’s nurses help people living with terminal illnesses and their families to make the most of the time they have left. Our retailers are helping everyone have the care and support they need at the end of their life, by supporting Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal.”
Helen Stock, Senior Corporate Account Manager at Marie Curie added: “We are thrilled that SPAR stores are getting behind Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal this year. The money raised from all these wonderful activities will ensure Marie Curie can continue providing vital support across the UK for people with a terminal illness and their families. A huge thank you to everyone at SPAR!”
