SPAR UK provides branded Sports Day kits to schools

SPAR UK is a proud sponsor of British Athletics, connecting local communities through sport. In addition to activating its sponsorship at British Athletics events and online through the SPAR Sports Club, it has once again made free SPAR-branded Sports Day kits available to local community schools.

Based on fantastic feedback from retailers, this year SPAR UK has produced 2,100 Sports Day kits and is making them available to SPAR stores across the country. The initiative is helping to further connect SPAR retailers with their local communities and encourage school children to get active this summer.

SPAR UK spokesperson said: “Our SPAR branded Sports Day kits are a fantastic way for our stores to connect with their communities, all while helping schools make their sports days really special, professional-looking events.

“Our school Sports Day kits have always proved very popular and we are confident that children, teachers and parents alike will be really pleased with the kits again this year!”

The kits include letters to every school, two branded posters, five whistles, 200 bibs, one finishing line tape, a welcome banner, and nine sheets of 24 ‘Well done’ stickers, giving schools much needed materials for their sports days.

This is just one more example of how SPAR UK promotes healthy lifestyles through supporting sports in schools.

About SPAR UK

The UK became a member of SPAR in 1956 when a group of independent wholesalers was granted the SPAR licence by SPAR International. There are five regional partners in the UK with strategically placed Distribution Centres in each region. A central office, located in London, provides national marketing and buying services for the group and supports the development of the brand.

SPAR has led the convenience market in the UK for many years but has faced increasing competition. Always innovative, the five regional partners have continued to grow the brand. Throughout the UK, a combination of independently-owned licensed retailers and company-owned stores can be found, spanning forecourts, airports, train stations, city centres, and local neighbourhoods.
