The Tikkie app is becoming increasingly popular, already used by more than 3 million people. As a retail company that strives to meet the needs of its customers and keep up with the latest trends, this move by SPAR Netherlands sees the company introducing a new level of convenience for shoppers.
All SPAR Netherlands retailers who use Storeworld cash registers can now offer this service to their customers. At the self-scan checkout counters a QR code is displayed and to pay, this must be scanned by the customer using the Tikkie app or a QR scanner.
“More than 3 million people now use Tikkie,” says Freek de Steenwinkel, Director of Tikkie. “With our app, SPAR retailers will make the shopping experience for their customers even easier.”
The Tikkie app is safe and easy to use. The implementation and roll-out of the payment solution in SPAR stores in the Netherlands will take place in the coming period, in cooperation with ABN AMRO bank. This payment tool was introduced by ABN Amro bank in The Netherlands as a mobile app and has gained popularity with small businesses as well as individuals. The system sends messages via WhatsApp or email, there are no charges to use the facility and you don’t have to be an account holder of the bank to pay through the app.
