The Cilento INTERSPAR Hypermarket has undergone a major restyling as part of the modernising programme in the Centre-South region. The store brings together all of the new features envisioned by Format 35, the new concept proposed by DESPAR Centro-Sud, in collaboration with the University of Parma and Store Design experts from SPAR International. The focus is on sustainability through the installation of LED lighting systems and CO2 refrigeration systems that take advantage of the latest refrigeration technology, allowing energy efficiency and high standards of reliability and safety.
The renovations include all of the fresh food departments. Delicious menus are prepared by DESPAR chefs using the best Italian ingredients and traditional recipes, which are suitable throughout the day. Additionally, the fruit & vegetable and butcher shop inside the store are modernised, as well as a fish department with ready meals and fish specialties. In the refreshment area of the store, customers can enjoy delicious dishes, alongside the wine bar and refrigerated cellar, which is home to some of the best wine and beer labels. Ample parking is also available for customers outside the renovated INTERSPAR store.
The renovation led to the expansion of the team, with 10 new colleagues joining, meaning 30 team members serve customers in the store. With the reopening of the INTERSPAR Hypermarket in Castelnuovo Cilento, SPAR Italy’s network in Campania now stands at more than 140 stores overall. “Our plan to modernise the network is also continuing in Campania“, Mairoa CEO Pipp Cannillo said, “aimed at bringing the brand-new services and depth of assortment thanks to our new format to all the regions of Central South.”
