Speaking about the SPAR Fitlive Running Series, Colin Donnelly, SPAR Sales Director said: “We are delighted to be bringing the second leg of our Run Series to Cork following our launch run in Dublin’s Phoenix Park earlier this year. We had a great response to our free 8-week fitness programme that ran on Fitlive.ie and with the Irish Independent – giving people exercise tips, nutritional advice, workouts and running plans. Health and wellbeing is a big focus for SPAR so we are very excited to have this opportunity for people in the Cork region to get involved and to put what they learned with the SPAR Fitlive Programme to the test with our 5km Cork Airport Midnight Runway Run.”
Former Olympian and World Champion, Derval O’Rourke said: “The SPAR Fitlive Cork Airport Midnight Runway Run is the perfect run for those who want to improve their fitness levels, attempt to beat a personal best or to simply attempt their first ever 5km run. With such a straight flat route, it lends itself to all levels of runners.”
Those interested in a registering can do so here. Participants will receive a goodie bag with a T-shirt, medal, refreshments, race chip timing and crossing line video.
