SPAR Iceland partners with FH Handball Club

October 30, 2026 IN THE CATEGORY: Sport sponsorship

SPAR Iceland announced a new partnership with FH Handball Club, one of Iceland's most successful and respected handball clubs. The collaboration marks SPAR's first sports sponsorship in Iceland following the launch of the SPAR brand in the market earlier this year.

The partnership brings together two organisations that share a strong commitment to community engagement, healthy lifestyles and supporting the next generation through sport. As part of the agreement, the SPAR brand will feature across FH Handball’s senior and youth teams, helping to support the continued development of the club and its programmes.

Supporting communities through sport

FH Handball is recognised as one of Iceland’s leading clubs, with a strong presence in both elite competition and youth development. Through this partnership, SPAR Iceland aims to strengthen its connection with local communities while encouraging participation in sport and physical activity.

The sponsorship reflects SPAR’s long-standing commitment to supporting sport and active lifestyles, complementing the brand’s wider involvement in sporting events and community initiatives across Europe.

Building the SPAR brand in Iceland

The announcement comes as SPAR continues to establish its presence in Iceland, with the first SPAR stores opening in Reykjavík and Hafnarfjörður in June 2026. The partnership with FH Handball forms part of SPAR Iceland’s strategy to build strong local connections and become an active supporter of the communities it serves.
