SPAR Gran Canaria maintains its commitment to quality and service by developing more efficient and environmentally friendly supermarkets. The Spanish SPAR partner has recently renovated two stores in the island’s capital.

Following a complete refurbishment, the store now includes a juicing area, offering customers the chance to order fresh fruit and vegetable juice. The SPAR Supermarket now has a SPAR Natural organic section and offers more international, local, and gourmet products.

The supermarket has expanded its daily baked bread assortment and improved its world beers and wine cellar areas. The ready meals section is open also on Sundays and public holidays until 3 pm.

To mark the reopening, the store organised raffles and gifts, including sustainable, reusable, cloth bags giving customers a more environmentally friendly solution when grocery shopping.

A key focus has been on improving energy efficiency through the installation of upright fridges and coolers. In addition, the ventilation system was improved and new LED lighting installed, leading to significant energy savings.
