SPAR Denmark has opened its sixth store in the capital city. The new store is located in the popular residential area Fredriksberg, next to the local High School and the Copenhagen Business School. This SPAR Supermarket brings an expanded range of to-go, healthier choices, and local products to this vibrant area of the city.

Instore offer

With a sales area of 538m², the SPAR Supermarket has a convenience section which includes the food-to-go department. An extensive choice of fruit and vegetables, fresh juices, and a large selection of locally sourced products are also available. Highlights of the store include the fish counter, butchery, bakery and delicatessen departments. Five full-time team members and 20 part-time employees ensure high-quality customer service.

SPAR Natural

Customers can enjoy a good selection of SPAR Natural products. Developed by SPAR International, this range meets growing consumer demands for healthier and more sustainable food choices. The range focuses on vegan and vegetarian solutions and offers organic, gluten-free, wheat-free, dairy-free, and sugar-free options.

CENSA Coffee solution

SPAR Fredriksberg has adopted SPAR International’s versatile, branded, CENSA Coffee solution. This successful implementation follows recent CENSA Café launches in several other SPAR countries and in SPAR St. Kongensgade, also in Copenhagen.

Sustainable solutions

SPAR Denmark is one of  13 SPAR countries cooperating with rapidly growing social impact company Too Good To Go. The partnership offers shoppers an innovative digital solution targeted at reducing food waste, particularly for fresh foods and short shelf-life items. SPAR Fredriksberg has implemented this service, enabling shoppers to purchase food products nearing their sell-by date at a reduced cost.

SPAR Fredriksberg has also implemented the platform “WhyWaste”, by which team members know when articles are nearing their sell-by date, helping to keep waste to a minimum.
