SPAR Saudi Arabia has opened the new flagship SPAR Express store at the KAFD Metro Station, located in the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) in the heart of the capital city Riyadh. This landmark store opening signals SPAR Saudi Arabia’s new strategy focusing on enhancing retail convenience in key urban hubs. Through utilising best practice from across the international SPAR network, SPAR Saudi Arabia is evolving into the foodvenience segment.
The store is open 24/7 in the high-footfall location, with millions of travellers passing through the metro station. A focus of the store comes from the SPAR Bakery brand, which provides a variety of goods for customers who are on the move. The SPAR Bakery offers a bakery with morning baked goods, as well as freshly brewed café, hot and cold beverages, and a dedicated food-to-go offering including sandwiches and salads which are available on-demand throughout the day and tailored to meet the daily needs of commuters, working professionals, and visitors passing through the station.
The flagship SPAR Express store at KAFD Metro Station is the first of this new flagship model as part of SPAR Saudi Arabia’s focus on convenience. A second SPAR Express store recently opened at the National Guard Hospital. This store caters to visitors, hospital staff, and patients with its selection of convenience products and SPAR Bakery offer. SPAR Saudi Arabia will continue to open new SPAR Express locations across the region in the coming period in other high-football urban locations.
