Europe's strongest athletics nations will compete for the Super League team title in Lille Métropole from 23-25 June.
Download imageAthletics is normally a sport about individual success but this event, spread across three thrilling days, is all about the success of teams. Eleven countries will compete in this seventh edition of the Team Championships, which begins on Friday afternoon with heats in the sprints and hurdles and will see the top eight finishers qualifying for the finals later in the weekend.
Brand visibility will be good with the SPAR boards around the stadium and all athletes wearing SPAR branded number bibs. With the Team Championships being broadcast throughout Europe, via digital and print media channels, there will be a lot of athletics coverage for fans to enjoy and SPAR is pleased to support this world class event.
SPAR is now in its second year of working with the Female Coaching Network (FCN) to run the SPARK kids Athletics Park (SPARK) at the Championships. SPARK has developed into a great platform for demonstrating the key disciplines of athletics: running, jumping and throwing. The partnership with FCN has further expanded SPARK to include training guidelines for young athletes and their parents as well as video tutorials on how to warm up properly for specific events.

During the course of the Team Championships this weekend in Lille, FCN will hold workshops at the SPARK tent, encouraging all young spectators to participate. Activities will be based around track and field disciplines and are aimed at kids aged 4-16. The SPARK area will also include the popular Nutrition Zone tent, which is dedicated to promoting and encouraging healthy eating in a fun way.
