A licence agreement was granted to ASPIAG (Austrian SPAR International AG) by SPAR International in 2004. As a member of the ASPIAG group, SPAR Croatia has access to a wide range of own brand products sourced regionally, supplementing locally sourced products. SPAR Croatia’s strong local sourcing programme offers selected local entrepreneurs access to the formal market. The logistics centre near Zagreb, opened in 2024, marks a major advancement in supplying all SPAR and INTERSPAR stores in the country.
