Blakemore Retail has enjoyed huge success over the past year, adding three new stores and 16 Subway franchises to its estate and becoming the first convenience retailer to partner with Greggs. Their drive was recognised in winning the much coveted award earlier this month.

Since their launch in 2003, the Grocer Gold Awards have grown to become the most prestigious awards in the food and drink industry, recognising the very best standards in grocery retail.

The awards were announced at a spectacular ceremony in June 2016 at the historic Guild hall in London.
