SPAR Switzerland has continued the expansion of its forecourt store network with the opening of a 200m2 SPAR Express store at the Lavaux service station and a 171m2 store at the Pieterlen service station. The ranges in both locations feature a diverse selection of fresh foods and local specialties.

SPAR Lavaux

The new SPAR Express store is located along the A9 highway at the Lavaux rest area, operated by Autogrill. The new SPAR store’s accessibility offers a welcome shopping opportunity for passers-by and for the regional population between the cities of Lausanne and Vevey.

The store carries a wide range of fresh groceries throughout the day. It also features an extensive range of food and non-food products for everyday use, including fresh flowers.

Store highlights include local specialities, such as regional wines and smoked fish, and a great food-to-go offer, including freshly prepared sandwiches, salads, and fruit bowls. The SPAR Express store is operated by manager Silvio Facchinetti and his team.

SPAR Pieterlen

The new SPAR Express store along the A5 at the Pieterlen motorway service area between Solothurn and Biel offers a pleasant stop for motorised travellers. The store is also easily accessible from surrounding areas.

The store offers a balanced range of groceries. The focus is on fresh food, including fruit and vegetables, dairy and meat products, and bakery products. The fresh to-go range includes sandwiches, healthy smoothies, and various cold and warm snacks.

Souvenirs such as fresh flowers, chocolates, and fine wines are available seven days a week. The heart of the SPAR Express store is the Caffèrino Corner, which offers a comfortable seating area. Store manager Monika Affolter and her team operate the store.
