He will also run the brand’s new state-of-the-art supermarket on St. Kongensgade, which is set to open in December.
Both SPAR Supermarkets have a strong focus on sustainability and embrace different concepts and products developed by SPAR International.
Ronnie Rømer Borregaard has managed to create growth from day one after the opening of SPAR Teglholmen in August 2019. He is innovative both in terms of product selection and in terms of local area involvement and employee training. He has put a lot of work into involving local citizens in the construction of the supermarket, and he continues to listen to his customers carefully.

About SPAR Denmark
SPAR Denmark was founded in 1954 when Danish retail company, Dagrofa, was granted a licence to operate the brand in the market. In 2013, the NorgesGruppen purchase of 49% of the Dagrofa Group was approved. This led to a major restructuring of the retail business, with a focus placed on strengthening the SPAR Brand in Denmark.
SPAR Denmark has more than 130 supermarkets spread across the country, positioning itself as the largest independent retail chain in the market. Its headquarters are located in Ringsted.
