SPAR China opens new hypermarkets and community stores in Shandong and Guangdong

SPAR China expanded its store network with four new locations in June, two each in the provinces of Shandong and Guangdong. In Shandong, SPAR opened two hypermarkets in Dezhou and Jining city. In Guangdong, a community store opened in Dongguan city as well as a supermarket in Maoming city on 28 June, a day after the Dragon Boat Festival holiday.

SPAR Shandong openings
SPAR Shandong opened the South Ring Road Store in Lingcheng District – the first SPAR Hypermarket in the Dezhou area – on 11 June. The 6,000m2 store occupies a prime location near Yanzhenqing Park. 

With a sales area is more than 3,000m2, the Yongrun Plaza Hypermarket is SPAR Shandong’s first store in Jining city. Opened on 17 June, the modern hypermarket is located on the 1F & B1 of Yongrun Plaza. 

More than 80% of the fresh products on offer are directly sourced and delivered from SPAR Shandong’s own distribution centres. The stores offer an extensive assortment of fresh fish, shellfish, and other seafood from Weihai, a major seaport in Shandong province.

SPAR Guangdong openings
With a sales area of about 198m2, the new SPAR Chang’an Xiaobian Store in Dongguan City is compact yet features a comprehensive assortment. 

With an assortment of high-quality products from around the world, the store fully meets the daily needs of local communities. The store has a simple yet modern look, offering customers a premium shopping experience. 

The new SPAR Maoming Dongxin Mingyuan Store in Maoming City has an area of 1,900m2 and features a high-end instore restaurant. The store’s assortment comprises both local and imported products including high-quality meats, seafood, bakery products, and prepared foods.
