SPAR Norway has opened a new store in Åmot, a municipality in Innlandet county, about an hour's drive north of Oslo. More than 1,700 customers visited SPAR Åmot to shop during the opening day on 17 February, resulting in a first day turnover of almost €50,000.

SPAR retailer Musli Ahmeti and his team were proud to present the new store and comprehensive assortment to local customers.

Previously housing a Meny supermarket, the building has undergone large-scale renovations to create a modern and convenient new store environment. The only elements left after the demolition work were the walls and ceiling. Six weeks later, the store could reopen as a brand-new SPAR store.

The new SPAR store has a sales area of 600m2. It features sustainable solutions such as LED lights and modern CO2-refrigerators. The walls and ceiling are well insulated to deal with Norway’s colder weather spells.
