August 28, 2018 IN THE CATEGORY: Store openings

SPAR Austria recently opened its 49th SPAR Express forecourt store in Allhaming, in the district Linz-Land. A convenience store with a sales area of 80m², it offers customers a wide product range at supermarket prices.

This latest SPAR Express has been equipped with SPAR Austria’s new store design concept, which features wood panelling, clear store signage and an easy-to-navigate floor plan.

In addition to an attractive range consisting of up to 2,500 products, a key focus has been placed on fresh food ranges, including freshly baked bread and pastries, as well as fruit and vegetables. “No other forecourt store in Austria offers a supermarket range at supermarket prices, open 24/7 throughout Austria. The SPAR Express concept is unique and tailored to the needs of our customers,” said SPAR Austria Board Director, Fritz Poppmeier.

The turnover of SPAR Express forecourt stores is well above the Austrian food market average, with sales increasing by 9% in the last year. Open seven days a week with long opening hours and a diverse and extensive offer, the SPAR Express forecourt stores are among the leading concepts in Austrian food trade.

Three more locations are set to be added to the SPAR Express store portfolio later this year, in Wals (Salzburg), Melk (Lower Austria) and Amstetten (Lower Austria).
