The SPAR City of Preston 10K Race held on 22 September 2024 drew 700 enthusiastic runners to the heart of the city. Sponsored by SPAR UK partner James Hall & Co. Ltd for the third consecutive year, the event celebrated active lifestyles and community spirit in the North of England.

The race began and ended at the historic Flag Market, where the athletes’ village buzzed with excitement. The picturesque route took participants on a challenging, scenic, route before looping back into the city centre.

The event featured the popular “My First Mile” race, encouraging participation from younger runners and families. All finishers received a commemorative SPAR City of Preston 10K medal and technical T-shirt, marking their achievement in this celebrated community race.

Philippa Harrington, Marketing Manager at James Hall & Co. Ltd said: “The SPAR City of Preston 10K is a highlight of our year. We’re thrilled to see so many runners, including Team SPAR, making the event such a success.”

Emma Marsh, CEO of QBE Media Ltd, expressed pride in partnering with SPAR UK: “We are delighted to deliver another fantastic community event. The SPAR City of Preston 10K is more than just a race; it’s a celebration of health, happiness, and community.”
