Creating awareness about the SPAR WOZA Summer promotion

Download imageNow in its sixth year, the promotion continues to grow in popularity with great prizes and bargains galore. At the end of the promotion, on 7 October, each of the 33 SPAR stores in Zimbabwe will have their own instore Grand Draw, which will see some lucky customers walking away with prizes such as TVs, fridges, stoves, airtime vouchers and more. Every participant also stands the chance of winning one of 15 cars. All customers have to do to enter the WOZA Summer promotion, is to spend a minimum of 5 Zimbabwean Dollars on two or more promotional products.
In addition to welcoming summer with this annual promotion, SPAR is also celebrating 50 years in Zimbabwe and as such, this year’s campaign promises to be better and bigger than ever before.
Other CSR initiatives
The community is a core pillar around which the SPAR Brand is focused and in Zimbabwe, SPAR is working hard to make a real difference by supporting various charity initiatives at a community level.
Earlier this year, SPAR Zimbabwe hosted the Rainbow Run in aid of the national charity, Childline. Over 1,600 runners participated and an incredible $16 000 was raised for the charity. The money has gone towards the purchase of a new vehicle for their community outreach programme.
Another project that SPAR Zimbabwe is involved in is tackling the critical shortage of municipal water in Harare by setting up community water points at a number of SPAR stores, which can be freely accessed by residents of the local communities. Each borehole is fitted with a chlorinator unit to ensure that the water is safe for use.
Other recent CSR events include the SPAR sponsored 10km run in the town of Gokwe in August. All proceeds from the day have gone to families in the Gokwe area that were affected by recent floods.
And finally, on 16 September, SPAR Bonsa Bulawayo hosted its 5th annual Bonsa Cancer Walk. A fantastic event with an amazing turnout.
