SPAR Switzerland on 2 February opened a SPAR Express store at the railway station in Winterthur, northern Switzerland. The small-scale and centrally located supermarket offers train passengers, passers-by and residents quick and easy meal solutions and daily food shopping. In addition, customers can enjoy drinks and food in the store’s instore café with about 20 seats from 6 am. to 11 pm.

The new SPAR Express at Winterthur station is located at the highly-frequented pedestrian zone in the re-developed Rudolfstrasse. There is also a bicycle parking area and a car parking garage located above the station.

In addition to a well-stocked food range and products meeting the daily needs of residents and commuters, the new SPAR Express offers a wide range of hot and cold dishes for either takeaway or to enjoy onsite. A daily lunch menu with a variety of freshly prepared sandwiches, salads, fruit bowls, muesli, savoury snacks, and a variety of desserts is offered.

The new store is equipped with electronic price tags, improving instore efficiency. Two self-scanning checkouts speed up the payment process.

SPAR retailers and siblings Dzezair Ibraimi and Almedine Fejzaj run the store with a motivated team of colleagues. They focus on personal customer service and a high-quality fresh food offer meeting the daily needs of customers.
