SPAR Switzerland celebrates successful first year of customer loyalty card

It’s been a year since SPAR Switzerland launched its customer loyalty card, SPAR Friends. Available in all SPAR Supermarkets in the country, the card has been hugely successful, attracting 150,000 members so far.

Instant benefits and discounts

Unlike many loyalty cards, the SPAR Friends card doesn’t require point collecting with customers benefitting from each purchase. Every week, in addition to the many SPAR promotions, SPAR Friends cardholders can take advantage of an additional four to five products on promotion at discounts of up to 50%. Furthermore, one cardholder a day has the chance of receiving a full reimbursement of a transaction.

SPAR Friends cardholders also receive a 10% shopping voucher on their birthday, which can be redeemed within two weeks. They also receive SPAR Switzerland’s customer magazine free of charge six times a year. The magazine includes recipes, valuable nutrition advice, customer benefits, and crafting and decoration ideas.

First anniversary raffle

To celebrate the first anniversary of the SPAR Friends card, SPAR Switzerland is organising a raffle for newly registered cardholders. The raffle participants have the chance of receiving one of 10 vouchers worth 100 Swiss Francs from the Switzerland Travel Centre. The lucky winners can discover their country by train or indulge in a stay in a luxury hotel.

The SPAR Friends customer card, which can also be used as a keychain, is available to all SPAR Switzerland customers aged 16 and older and can be found in any SPAR Supermarket in the country. Membership can be requested through the SPAR Friends App (via Google Play or the App Store), or at any SPAR Supermarket.
