SPAR Slovenia continues to support people in need in December, the month of giving. This is the 11th year that SPAR Slovenia cooperates with the charity Ana’s Stars to donate food products and collect toys to support three charitable organisations.

SPAR Slovenia donates food to people in need

For the 11^th consecutive year, SPAR Slovenia, SPAR customers, and the charity Anine zvezdice (Ana’s Stars) join forces in their traditional ‘Let’s Help Together’ December campaign. During the entire month, customers can donate food products in all SPAR and INTERSPAR stores throughout the country, while SPAR Slovenia will hand over a donation to support Ana’s Star.

The campaign runs until 31 December 2022. Customers can donate food with a longer shelf life to Ana’s Stars’ tagged cart instore. The collected products will be distributed by volunteers, who have been working with Ana’s Stars and its founder Anna Lukner Roljić on their mission to help people in need for more than a decade.

SPAR Slovenia collects toys for charitable organisations

Social hardship, medical conditions, or other adverse living conditions prevent many children from enjoying the holidays and experiencing the joy of discovering surprises under the Christmas tree.

As part of its traditional Christmas campaign, SPAR Slovenia collects toys and donates them to three charitable organisations to cheer up children. In 2022, the chosen charities were the Humanitarian Society Palčica Helpčica; Jonatan Prijatelj, an association of Parents of Children with Cancer; and the Association of Friends of Youth in Slovenia (ZPMS).
