Customers visiting SPAR and INTERSPAR stores across Slovenia can easily identify products carrying the “Straight from the Grower” label. These include seasonal fruits and vegetables, locally sourced meat and fish, dairy products, as well as items such as honey and herbs, all sourced from across Slovenia.

More than 40 selected Slovenian producers are part of this initiative, using the label not only to distinguish their products but also to share their stories and connect more closely with local customers.

The “Straight from the Grower” label ensures that each product is of 100% Slovenian origin, offering customers a guarantee of authenticity, quality, and freshness, while making local sourcing more visible and accessible in-store.

Creating value for producers and nature

This initiative allows SPAR Slovenia to actively support individual producers while investing in the future of Slovenian agriculture. By promoting sustainable farming practices and strengthening the local economy, the platform contributes to long-term resilience within the domestic supply chain.

Encouraging customers to choose locally sourced products also delivers environmental benefits. Sourcing products locally reduces the need for import, keeping paths from growers to customers as short as possible.
