November 2, 2026 IN THE CATEGORY: Responsible retailing

SPAR Croatia has launched the seventh season of its ‘Start it Up, Croatia’ initiative, introducing 15 innovative products from seven local entrepreneurs. The launch took place at the INTERSPAR Hypermarket in Zagreb’s King Cross.

SPAR Croatia and Nova TV, with partner Ascanius Media, developed the initiative to help local entrepreneurs bring their products to market and grow their businesses. The products are now available on distinctive blue displays in INTERSPAR hypermarkets and selected SPAR supermarkets across Croatia.

Diverse product range

This season’s food range includes TURINELA extra virgin olive oil, LOM vegan desserts, BUJA BUJON slow-cooked stocks, IRENKA pasta made from home-grown grain, and CRUNCH YOU barley malt sweetened granola. The selection also features KMT – the House of Magic Grass ecological household cleaners and SAMO ONA’s Blue Balm for skincare.

Supporting local producers

Over its first six seasons, the initiative has grown into a strong platform that connects domestic producers with customers, allowing them to present their products to the wider public. A total of 48 participants have introduced more than 100 products in SPAR supermarkets and INTERSPAR hypermarkets throughout Croatia, proving the potential of domestic innovations and the importance of investing in local production.
