Within six months of the fire, SPAR Slovenia restored its fresh products warehouse, successfully compensated for the loss of production of its best-selling bakery and confectionery products, and continued to invest in its logistics capacities. Among other developments, construction is underway on a modern new warehouse for fresh products. This will enable an even more efficient supply of stores with fresh, quality products.
“Six months after the fire, our fresh products warehouse is fully operational again. Together with our employees, suppliers and partners, we have ensured continued customer care and found effective solutions to support the successful development of our business. Today, we are here to thank the firefighters for their professionalism, dedication and rapid response. The €50,000 donation is not only an expression of gratitude for their support during the fire, but also an investment in future safety, as it will contribute to the development of a solution that will enable firefighters to respond even more effectively during major interventions,” said David Kovačič, CEO of SPAR Slovenia.
Firefighting support is part of SPAR Slovenia’s long-term commitment to social responsibility. For the third consecutive year, the company has worked with the Firefighters’ Association of Slovenia to encourage young people to get involved in firefighting. SPAR Slovenia also regularly donates to local fire brigades when opening new stores.
