Until February 6, SPAR Gran Canaria was giving away 700 SPAR Own Brand product packs, valued at €21,000. Customers who spend €20 or more were eligible to receive a product pack worth €30. These packs included essential grocery items such as milk, lentils, pasta, sausages, water, cleaning supplies, and personal hygiene products. This initiative, which also took place in 2024, was expected to benefit even more customers this year. Customers could also take advantage of additional discounts and special offers through the ‘My SPAR Club’ loyalty card, which provides discount coupons and other benefits.
As an extra measure of support, the ‘My SPAR Club’ loyalty card offered a fixed discount on all purchases made by accredited large families at any of the 198 SPAR establishments in Gran Canaria. To benefit from this initiative, large families needed to complete the ‘My SPAR Club’ card application form and present official large family documentation issued by the Canary Islands Government. Once accredited, they would receive direct discounts on all their purchases.
This exclusive benefits programme is part of SPAR Gran Canaria’s broader social responsibility efforts to support Canarian families.

SPAR Spain was founded in 1959 when a group of wholesalers who wished to join an international organisation came together. As a result, the brand became the first voluntary trading chain to be established in Spain, having been granted a license by SPAR International. Together, 13 regional SPAR wholesalers actively continue the expansion of the brand across the country.
