After signing the agreement last week, SPAR Gran Canaria President Ángel Medina highlighted that “for SPAR Gran Canaria, we are proud to be the main ally of the young promising talent of Canarian football, who also set an example for Canarian youth, promoting the sport as one of the main social values.”
“The objective for this season will be to be promoted to the first division, the Iberdrola League. A challenge that we hope to achieve after having reinforced the team with players of local, national, and international stature. Our club is proud that a group like SPAR Gran Canaria continues to support women’s sports year after year, this being the second year as a sponsor”, said Miguel Ángel Sánchez, President of CD Femarguín.
The players of the CD Femarguín SPAR Gran Canaria will play in this year’s Iberdrola Challenge, the silver category of women’s football at the national level, which starts on 18 October. Their first match will be against Valencia CF B.
