The new logistics centre is situated on a 410,000m2 site, in a location well connected by roads and close to public city transport and the railway. It has a storage capacity of over 100,000 pallets and is equipped with more than 170 loading ramps. The new logistics centre will be run with 500 team members.
The construction of the SPAR logistics centre represents a strategically important project for SPAR Croatia. Taking into account the level of investment and the number of employees, this was one of the largest projects in Zagreb County and the municipality of Klinča Sela.
The investment in the new logistics centre is crucial to maintain retail growth, which has seen considerable investment in hypermarkets and supermarkets in recent years. SPAR Croatia’s retail sales in 2023 grew by 20% to exceed €1 billion, reflecting that the company is a major player in the retail sector.
