Fourth dedicated SPAR Responsible Retailing Forum being held on 24 November

November 17, 2021 IN THE CATEGORY: Responsible retailing

SPAR is holding the fourth dedicated Responsible Retailing Forum on 24 November from 09:00 to 13:00, bringing together colleagues from across the different business areas driving sustainability within the worldwide SPAR organisation.

The virtual, free to attend, Forum will include a business update from SPAR International CEO Tobias Wasmuht. We’re also delighted to welcome Unilever Chief Sustainability Officer Rebecca Marmot, who will talk about Unilever’s mission of sustainable, responsive business growth and how we can collaboratively address challenges for people and planet whilst growing our impact. Rebecca previously led the Global Advocacy & Policy team, Global Partnerships team, and Global Sustainability team. She was also responsible for the communication and external affairs of the personal care and home category.

In line with the urgency seen in global and regional agendas, agreements, and conferences, (such as COP26, the Paris Agreement, SDG’s, EU Green Deal, etc.), this year’s Responsible Retailing Forum will bring sustainability strategy development, carbon reduction, energy consumption, food waste, and packaging to the forefront. Participants will hear from speakers from SPAR UK, SPAR Norway, SPAR Austria, SPAR South Africa, and SPAR Italy, amongst others. Review the detailed agenda here.
