DESPAR Italia partner Maiora’s commitment to gender equality

Maiora, DESPAR Italia partner Maiora recently received the Italian Gender Equality Certification UNI/PdR 125:2022. Awarded by accredited body Si Cert Italy, this certification recognises Maiora’s commitment to fairness, respect, and inclusion in the workplace.

The certification showcases the work being done by Maiora in recent years with regards to gender equality, having also received the certification in 2025. As part of the assessment, the organisation’s Strategic Plan for Gender Equality was presented. Additonally, the results of the latest Corporate Climate Survey was shared. This is a tool through which Maiora collects the point of view of various stakeholders and acquires useful elements to guide future actions.

Steering Committee for Gender Equality

Maiora has been pursuing a strategy in recent years to further build n increasingly fair, inclusive and attentive work environment to the needs of its people. Included in this strategy is the development of a Steering Committee for Gender Equality, which promotes and monitors activities related to gender equality, analyses the results achieved, and contributes to the development of new objectives through continuous improvement.

Providing for people

During the evaluation, Maiora’s initiatives around parenthood were praised as well as the “Value to the Future” project. This initiative supports working mothers in their return to work from maternity leave through elements such as economic support including babysitting and nursery contributions, assistance services, and psychological support.

With this certification, Maiora continues to develop concrete and measurable objectives which keep a constant focus on its people, continuing to listen, monitor, and improve the working environment for all.
