Yoga is a collection of physical, mental, and spiritual practices which come from ancient India. Today, yoga is practiced in various forms and worldwide and is recognised as a means to achieve better physical and mental health. To promote well-being and encourage people to explore the many benefits of yoga, the International Yoga Day Foundation will be hosting a variety of inclusive events available free of charge, for all ages and with various levels of experience.
SPAR’s support for the event is part of its Responsible Retailing strategy to promote health and well-being aligning with the ethos and aims of International Yoga Day. With a focus on hydration as an essential part of a balanced diet, SPAR flavoured and vitamin waters will be available for all participants of the yoga day.
The SPAR Nutrition Zone will be also onsite, giving the younger generation the possibility to learn more about food groups in a fun way or to participate in the exercise activities which will be available for kids at the zone.
Visitors to the event can bring their yoga mats to participate in sessions in view of the iconic Rijksmuseum. There will also be a wide variety of food stalls offering a range of international healthy and vegetarian food and drink options.
