AF Blakemore and Welsh Athletics partnership to inspire future sporting champions
A.F. Blakemore, SPAR UK wholesaler, is delighted to announce a new partnership with Welsh Athletics with the aim of inspiring the future generation of Welsh sporting champions.
This partnership will see the launch of eight Starting Blocs summer camps in deprived areas across South Wales.
Inspiring children
Powered by Welsh Athletics, Starting Blocs is a fun and exciting physical literacy programme to introduce children to the sport of athletics. Children learn the key movement skills needed for a life in sport, in a safe and positive environment, through games that are designed to teach children the foundations of running, jumping and throwing.
To help support families with the current cost of living challenges, the SPAR wholesaler has committed to providing each participant with a free packed lunch for each session.
