James Hall & Co. Ltd, SPAR UK wholesaler for the North of England, celebrated the opening of SPAR Supermarket Nafferton in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

The local community warmly welcomed the 278m², company-owned SPAR Supermarket and Shell forecourt. Customers queued up before the official opening to get a first look inside. SPAR Supermarket Nafferton features an extensive grocery offer, including fresh produce, a butchery, deli and coffee corner. Local customers were impressed with the supermarket, saying this is what the village has been missing. A team of 30 local team members are on hand to serve customers throughout the supermarket.

Festive opening

In the run up to the launch, a range of local community groups, organisations, and schools were supported by the local SPAR organisation. A day of festivities followed the opening, including a choir performance from a local primary school and raffles for SPAR prizes were held, with the proceeds going to SPAR UK’s national charity partner Marie Curie.
