SPAR UK has launched its new own brand Christmas range in a brand-new red livery instore. The newly redesigned Christmas range will ensure customers can easily identify their Christmas favourites, with the new livery aligning to the marketing creative instore and online.

The updated range has received a handful of new incremental SKUs across several fresh food subcategories, enhancing SPAR’s credentials as a genuine Christmas destination.

SPAR Mince Pies

Officially the UK’s favourite festive treat, SPAR’s range of mince pies are key items for any Christmas range as the number one Christmas staple, and customers have the option to trade up to an all-butter, indulgent line.

Only available at SPAR stores, SPAR’s own brand Luxury All Butter Mince Pies have been voted the ‘Best Classic Mince Pie’ for the second time in the BBC Good Food Christmas Taste Awards 2021 and joint winner in the ‘Best Classic Mince Pie’ category in the olive magazine Christmas supermarket awards 2021.

These two highly prestigious award wins are a testament to the exceptional quality and taste of SPAR’s own label Luxury All Butter Mince Pie. At only £2.00 for a pack of six, the SPAR Luxury All Butter Mince Pies will be customers’ number one staple purchase this Christmas.

BBC Good Food Christmas Taste Award said: “Our judges were impressed by the festive star design. Despite the open top, the mincemeat is golden and not burned. The deep-filled pies have buttery pastry and jammy, well-spiced mincemeat with citrusy notes.”

olive Christmas supermarket award said: “Our judges loved the open top star design of these pies. The thick pastry was well baked, whilst the filling is full of plump fruit and well balanced between sharp and sweet flavours.”

Food-to-go

SPAR UK’s Limited Edition Sandwich programme continues this festive season with the return of the SPAR Turkey Feast and brand new SPAR Brie & Cranberry sandwich, suitable for vegetarians.

Both lines will be available from 15 November, and with more people on the move than last year, these lines will drive food-to-go sales in SPAR stores.

Both lines are part of the limited edition programme and support SPAR’s year-round partnership with Marie Curie. 10p from the sale of each sandwich will be donated to Marie Curie. This helps build awareness for Marie Curie and helps nurses who are caring for those in need. SPAR Christmas Food-to-go lines will be available in participating SPAR stores from 15 November 2021.

Main meal trimmings

Celebrating with immediate family at home remains the number one planned activity for Christmas 2021.

As a result, SPAR is launching two new own brand lines: SPAR Pigs in Blankets and SPAR Stuffing Balls. These two new Christmas dinner staples will allow customers to target smaller occasions and embrace Christmas traditions. Instore from 13 December.

Myles Mersh, SPAR UK Brand Manager, said: “We are anticipating a family festive season this year. As a result, we encourage SPAR stores to engage with customers as early as possible to ensure they are front of mind when it is time to purchase.

“Our 2021 Christmas range covers several new incremental SKUs and a wide range of customer missions over the festive period. These include meal trimmings, antipasti, party food, food to go, dips, confectionery, desserts, and more.”
