SPAR Slovenia introduces online grocery shopping of essential items

April 28, 2020 IN THE CATEGORY: COVID-19, Digital and Marketing

SPAR Slovenia has introduced a SPAR Online Basic service offering 250 essential food items, thereby supporting customers keen to do quicker grocery shopping as the COVID-19 pandemic continues. This service also addresses the fact that customers often find it challenging to find a suitable delivery date or time slot for home delivery or instore pick up from the usual online shopping service.

Having selected 250 of the most popular essential grocery items for shoppers to choose from, out of the thousands of goods available throughout the store, customers can quickly do an online grocery order. With pick-up available at one of twelve INTERSPAR Hypermarkets around the country, preparation time is reduced and  collection is quick and simple, taking the stress out of grocery shopping for customers. By offering this service also in the largest city in the country, the capital Ljubljana, through two INTERSPAR Hypermarkets, SPAR Slovenia is able to reach many of their loyal customers with this SPAR Online Basic option.

Customers can select their nearest INTERSPAR Hypermarket, then indicate the time when the order should be ready for collection from the info desk or assigned cash point before indicating which of the 250 products they wish to include. With a minimum order spend of only €10, there is a low threshold for using the service. All promotion discounts which would usually be enjoyed when shopping instore are available to customers using this online service on the day the order is placed.

A full list of all participating stores is available at the SPAR Online Basic website. Additionally, customers can continue to shop at SPAR Slovenia’s regular online store.
