Download imageSPAR Slovenia launched the first in a series of AI-generated advertisements that are being broadcast across digital channels. The retailer emphasises that each ad was created entirely using artificial intelligence, with only a few store photos used to guide the AI in generating footage.
The ads were produced using different advanced platforms for video creation and a variety of tools used for final touches. SPAR Slovenia began this project when AI technology capable of high-quality “text to video” production became available. This allows them to generate videos directly from text descriptions without using traditional filming methods.
Aleš Popič, Head of SPAR Slovenia’s Digital Marketing, said, “Innovation is part of SPAR Slovenia’s culture, and we have shown that we can quickly and efficiently implement new AI-based solutions. The impressive results during testing confirmed that this approach will not only boost our production efficiency while reducing costs but can also reach a new creative level of video content production.”
In August, SPAR Slovenia tested hologram advertising at its INTERSPAR Hypermarket in Citypark. A small hologram screen was set up next to a stand promoting loyalty points for JBL speakers and headphones, showcasing these high-quality audio products.
The hologram, a three-dimensional image that appears to “float” in space, projected a 3D image of a JBL speaker. This made the product more noticeable as well as more engaging for customers with the moving hologram capturing their attention. SPAR Slovenia advised that this is a new and unique advertising method that is being tested in selected stores.
