Download imageSPAR Supermarkets received the Superbrands award for the sixteenth time, with INTERSPAR Hypermarkets being awarded for the ninth time. The brands were awarded by a jury of renowned professionals in recognition of their business success, outstanding brand quality and work invested in branding.
The international Superbrands programme was founded by the British independent organisation Brand Council in 1995 and has been active in Hungary for 20 years. Nominations for the award are based solely on professional criteria and the winners are selected by a 40-member expert panel of independent experts.
SPAR Hungary took home the “Health Conscious Retailer of the Year” title for the second time. The recognition was received at the Just Clear Fitness-Lifestyle Award fitness, wellness and health award gala.
With more customers moving toward alternative products such as lactose- and gluten-free products, SPAR Hungary has constantly expanded its range of health-conscious, gluten-free, lactose-free, organic and other products to cater to those needs.
Gabriella Heiszler, Managing Director of SPAR Hungary, was given a Community Award at the Budapest Business Journal Foreign Company Manager of the Year Award Gala. The award is given by the jury of the economic journal to leaders who have done exemplary work in the fields of diversity, inclusion, equal opportunities or sustainability.
Gabriella Heiszler was also included in Forbes magazine’s list of the most influential Hungarian women, where she earned sixth place in the “business” category.
